The Save as Metronome command makes the currently selected material into a metronome riff, which appears in the Riffs pop-up menu in the Metronome command dialog box in the Setup menu. You then have quick access to it as a metronome for any future recording and playing. The riff can be of any length, and it doesn’t even have to be drums. You can make riffs out of just about anything, such as a bass line or keyboard lick. The only restriction is that the riff can only use one sound. If you have music belonging to more than one player selected, it will be merged together into a single riff.
